It seems that the path across Blackheath was just the start of works; now the mystery of the soil mounds had been solved with more work taking place to widen the curb at the crossing point across Prince of Wales Road.
There are new curbstones and also the bump stones that aide those who are partially sighted to know where the end of the curb is.
The road widening is a welcome addition as it can be a little tight when bus and a car try and pass on the road.
