Here are some of our favourite places for coffee, tea, pastries and cakes around Blackheath. We are blessed with lots of options but if we miss little gems please let us know.
- Handmade Food - possibily the best bacon and egg sandwiches around, and pretty great coffee too! The most sought after seats are those outside and you have to be quick to get them on a sunny weekend!
- Chapters All Day Dining - some of the best service we have ever experienced has been here. Serenely professional staff in a nice enviroment. I recommend the Eggs Benedict.
- Costa Coffee - yes it is a chain but the staff here are incredibly welcoming and know their customers very well - it really is worth stopping in. Don't forget to pick up a costa card too to justify your addiction.
- Boulangerie Jade - top for spoily treats and elegant cakes - yum!
- Cafe Rouge - great for families as there is lots of space - mum and dad can read the paper while the kids tear up colouring in books- fun for all!
- Black Vanilla - the coffee is as yet untried by us but there is no doubt that it seems popular, with people squeezing into the small seating area. I do know, however, that the ice cream is fantastic - and this is a much needed addition in the village, in my opinion.
- Montpelier Cafe - A favourite in the Village, especially the creamy cappuccino.
